A big THANK YOU from the blue hair…

I made a promise that if the #12DaysOfGiving campaign managed to raise at least $2000 in support of our Day 5 featured charity (National Autism Association), I would dye my hair blue. (I pretended that this was a big chore on my part - for the kids - but really I was excited to do this... I haven't had my hair blue since high-school) Well, it took a little bit of creativity at the last moment (read this post if you want to guess), but we raised over $2100 for the National Autism Association... and an amazing total of $13,831 for all 12 charities involved. Well done everyone, thank you so much for being involved! I did it... I Dyed It Blue With some help from my good friend Andrea Robin, I managed to meet an amazing (and super generous) stylist named John at Sets on Fort who did an amazing job on making my hair blue. Check it out: Step 1 - Trim Hair [caption id="Step ...

#12DaysOfGiving Day 2: Dennis Crowley & Camp Interactive

Meet Dennis Crowley, our featured social good superstar for Day 2 of the #12DaysOfGiving challenge. His Twitter profile (@dens) says simply: "I like snowboards, foursquare and unemployment." We think he's being modest, though. Not only is he the co-founder of Foursquare, but he was also on Family Feud. (Yeah, there's lots of other impressive stuff that you can read on his site, but we ...

Social Media Adventure goes to Costa Rica

When I first launched the Social Media Adventure, I wanted to connect with online friends that I hadn't met in person. Very simply, I started driving and went to various cities meeting my social media acquaintances in real life.
