Epiphany From Paradise – Lessons from the beach in Cista Rica

I had this revelation while on the beach in Manuel Antonio, one of Costa Rica’s most popular beach hot spots.

It is amazing how true it is that being in paradise has far more to do with the state of our minds than it does the state of our environment.

Being temporarily miserable in such a beautiful place reminds me of what John Milton said: “The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.”
