Day 7 of our #12DaysOfGiving challenge features Dr Andy Baldwin.

You may recognize Andy from the 10th season of reality TV show The Bachelor. He is also a U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander and has been honored on the Washington D.C. Most Influential People under 40 list in 2009, and Outside Magazine’s Top 100 Influential People of the World list in 2006.

Hi, I’m Andy Baldwin,

I’m the founder of Got Your Back Network, which connects with military families who have lost a spouse or parent while serving our country. Our goal is to give comfort, answer a special need, offer guidance and bring a brighter day. We provide this service to the families of fallen soldiers through special events and qualified organizations.

I founded Got your back network after losing two of my close friends in a combat. I saw the effect it had on their families, especially their children. Their loved one made the ultimate sacrifice… so that we can enjoy our freedom as Americans.

I started this organization because I felt that our duty as Americans was to provide for these families to provide positive support, good mentors and people they can rely on.

Our organization has worked one on one with these families in need, to show people that we care about them and, that for the surviving spouse, we’ve truly got your back.

Now, we need your help.
